In a recent installment of ‘The Honest Bunch’ podcast, Seyi Law addressed misconceptions about his political stance, clarifying that he never explicitly urged anyone to vote for Tinubu. He emphasized the importance of verifying his statements online.
The comedian highlighted that his support for Tinubu stemmed from the latter’s track record of leadership in Lagos State and his belief in Tinubu’s capacity to propel Nigeria forward.
Seyi Law disclosed ongoing conversations with Seyi Tinubu, the son of the president, regarding various challenges confronting Nigerians.
He stated, “I never said vote for Tinubu, go and check. I only wrote about the things he did in Lagos, and I said I will put Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as my candidate or is who I am voting for. I didn’t tell you to vote for him and Seyi Law didn’t make the 8.9 million people that voted for Tinubu, I’m just a number amongst those numbers.”
Acknowledging his influence over certain individuals, Seyi Law expressed his conviction that Tinubu could lead Nigeria towards the desired progress. He also mentioned his communication with Seyi Tinubu, citing him as his closest contact within the government, whom he regularly engages with regarding societal issues.
