    Tinubu Names Gbenga Alade as AMCON CEO

    President Bola Tinubu has given his approval for the appointment of a new four-member management team for the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON), pending confirmation by the Nigerian Senate.

    As per a release issued on Thursday by presidential spokesperson Ajuri Ngelale, the appointees include Gbenga Alade as Managing Director/CEO, Aminu Ismail as Executive Director, Adeshola Lamidi as Executive Director, and Lucky Adaghe as Executive Director.

    President Tinubu anticipates unwavering commitment, professionalism, and diligence from the new appointees to ensure that AMCON’s operations are more efficient, transparent, and aligned with his efforts to cleanse the nation’s financial system to optimize value and bolster investor confidence in the Nigerian economy.

    Additionally, President Tinubu has sanctioned the appointment of qualified Nigerians to serve in three agencies under the Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy.

    According to another release by presidential spokesperson Ajuri Ngelale, the new appointees include Abraham Oshadami as Executive Commissioner, Technical Services, Rimini Makama as Executive Commissioner, Stakeholder Management, and Opeyemi Dele-Ajayi as President/CEO of the Digital Bridge Institute for the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).

    For the Nigerian Communications Satellite (NIGCOMSAT) Limited, Abiodun Attah has been appointed as Executive Director, Technical Services, Aisha Abdullahi as Executive Director, Finance & Administration, and Jaiyeola Awokoya as Executive Director, Marketing & Business Development.

    With the restructuring of the management teams in these agencies, President Tinubu expresses confidence that these seasoned professionals will deliver outstanding service to enhance the impact of the digital economy sector on the nation’s socio-economic development.
