Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has directed the Education Secretariat of the FCT Administration to initiate the reconstruction of Local Education Authority Primary School in Bagusa, Abuja. The school, located in Abuja Municipal Area Council, has been a subject of concern due to its inadequate infrastructure, with pupils forced to sit on the bare floor in the absence of proper seating arrangements. The directive from Wike aims to address the challenges posed to the learning environment, with plans to complete existing classrooms and construct additional ones for an improved and conducive setting. The FCTA will collaborate with relevant authorities to ensure the swift and efficient execution of the reconstruction project. The school will be transformed into a modern facility housing both primary and junior secondary levels to facilitate a seamless transition for students. The community is urged to cooperate, and efforts will be made to secure funding through partnerships with stakeholders like the Universal Basic Education Board.
