Former Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, has stated that the Supreme Court’s decision on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s election has put an end to political jostling and leadership contests. The Supreme Court recently validated and upheld the Court of Appeal’s earlier ruling.

Omo-Agege commended Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Mr. Peter Obi for their role in improving the electoral process and contributing to Nigeria’s jurisprudence through their democratic litigation.

With the Supreme Court’s affirmation of Tinubu’s presidency, Omo-Agege called on all Nigerians, especially politicians, to focus on rebuilding the country. He emphasized that the Supreme Court’s decision is a call to duty and an opportunity to unite in the collective effort to fix Nigeria.

He commended the Supreme Court and the entire judiciary for prioritizing the rule of law and putting the country’s interests first. Omo-Agege urged Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Mr. Peter Obi, their political parties, and followers to put Nigeria’s interests above all else and work with President Tinubu to get the country back on track.
