Liverpool’s manager, Jurgen Klopp, has reportedly identified Bayern Munich’s Leroy Sane as the top choice to fill the void left by Mohamed Salah, as per reports from the UK Mirror.

Salah had attracted substantial interest from the Saudi Pro League over the summer transfer window. Despite multiple offers, Liverpool stood firm and rejected a £150 million bid from Al-Ittihad.

However, it is anticipated that the Saudi club will return with an improved offer in the coming year, which has led Klopp to prepare for Salah’s potential departure by earmarking Sane as a suitable successor.

In a bid to secure Sane’s services, Liverpool is said to be willing to break their own transfer record, which currently stands at £85 million following the acquisition of Darwin Nunez.

Leroy Sane has been with Bayern Munich for his fourth season, having joined the club in a £54.8 million transfer from Manchester City back in 2020. This potential move would be a significant development in the ever-evolving landscape of English football.
