Authorities of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited ( NNPCL) has denied report of plans of a fresh increase in the pump price of fuel.

Recently there were media reports that the landing cost of the Premium Motor Spirit, popularly called petrol, jumped from N651/litre to N720/litre.

This fueled speculations that the pump price of the petroleum product may skyrocket in the next few days.

However, reacting to the report, the company’s management, in a statement shared Friday on X, denied the report, saying there was no intention to hike fuel pump price

The statement reads, “Dear esteemed customers, we at NNPC Retail value your patronage, and we do not have the intention to increase our PMS pump prices as widely speculated.

“Please buy the best-quality products at the most affordable prices at our NNPC Retail Stations nationwide”.
