Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has criticized the N35,000 provisional wage award for federal government workers. The award, which was approved by Bola Tinubu, is set to last for six months.

Primate Ayodele expressed concern that this wage increase would lead to more hunger and inflation in the country. He argued that it could result in corruption in the distribution process and called on the government to request more time for effective planning.

He also warned that the price of goods might start to rise, leading to a higher cost of living and more economic hardship.

Primate Ayodele’s comments highlight concerns about the potential consequences of the wage award on the country’s economy and the well-being of workers.
