Several Nigerian celebrities have expressed their reactions to the arrest of a group of young men allegedly involved in a gay wedding ceremony in Delta State. Over 100 individuals were reportedly apprehended by the Delta police command in Asaba in connection to the event.

Notable celebrities like Georgina Onuoha, Victoria Inyama, Uche Maduagwu, Chinedu Ikedieze (popularly known as Aki), and Mr. Funny have shared their thoughts on social media regarding the incident.

Georgina Onuoha’s reaction was one of support for the individuals involved, as she advocated for allowing people to live their lives without harm as long as they aren’t causing harm to others. She pointed out that there are more pressing issues in Nigeria and criticized those who spread hate based on sexual orientation.

Uche Maduagwu expressed his view that the situation was unfair, without providing further elaboration.

Chinedu Ikedieze reacted with a sense of disbelief, wondering about the economic circumstances that might contribute to such events.

Victoria Inyama’s response conveyed a sense of disparity in how different individuals are treated by the authorities, highlighting the issue of favoritism toward the wealthy.

Mr. Funny shared a brief response, suggesting that negative influences might be at play in the situation.

These celebrity reactions illustrate a range of sentiments, from support for the rights of individuals to concerns about inequality and the broader context within Nigeria.
