    BELLO CONGRATULATES SOYINKA AT 89

    Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State extends warm congratulations to Professor Wole Soyinka, the eminent literary icon and Nobel laureate, on his 89th birthday while praising God for for his good health and long life.

    A statement issued by the Chief Press se”cretary to the governor, Onogwu Mohammed on Thursday stated that
    Governor Bello noted that Soyinka’s literary prowess has earned him global recognition and played a pivotal role in shaping our cultural and intellectual landscape.

    According to him,Through his works, he sheds light on crucial societal issues, provoking thought and inspiring positive change”.

    The Governor acknowledges that beyond his writing talent, Soyinka demonstrates unwavering commitment to governance and nation building. His courageous stance on social justice, human rights, and the rule of law leaves an indelible impact on our collective consciousness.

    “As a Nobel laureate, Soyinka embodies Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage and fosters international understanding and cooperation. His advocacy for justice, freedom, and equality serves as an inspiration to all.” Bello said.

    Governor Yahaya Bello notes with keen interest, Soyinka’s ongoing role in guiding our nation toward a brighter future. On behalf of the Government and the people of Kogi State, he wishes Professor Wole Soyinka a happy 89th birthday filled with good health, joy, and continued success.
