    58 students bag first class af SALEM University, Lokoja as 960 graduate

    58 students of the SALEM University, Lokoja bag first class as 962 graduate at the 5th combined convocation.

    Out that, 36 students of the college of law have effectively been mobilized for the next batch of the mandatory one year law school program.

    The vice Chancellor of the faith based Institution, Prof. ALEWO Johnson Akubo, in a speech disclosed that the University made her way into the first 2000 Universities in the Times Higher Education world University ranking 2022.

    the Vice Chancellor said that the University has maintained a clean bill in the accreditation of all programs offered by the institution, with the recent addition of Mass Communication, Business Administration and Law .

    Meanwhile,the Kogi state Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has assured the Institution of “Rewarding Partnership in it’s efforts to close the gap in providing quality University education.

    The governor who was represented by the Commissioner for education, science and technology, Hon. Wemi Jones, described the present administration commitment to education as witnessed in over 30% budgetary provision beyond the 26% by UNESCO as the administration commitment to Quality education.

    Gov. Bello promised not to make graduates from the State tertiary institution as job seekers but as employers of labour.

    He praised Salem University for graduating not only job seekers but those capable of becoming employers of labour as depicted by their being described as “Change Agents”

    Bello commended Salem University for being “a responsible Corporate Organization in the State, assured of a partnership with the University in raising leaders, finished products and make them global leaders.”

    Gov. Bello promised to continue to provide the needed Security for Salem University and other private businesses to thrive and to function effectively, stressed his administration’s irrevocable commitment to security.

    He commended the rating of the University amongst other university’s in the world by the Times Higher Education world ranking, “remarkable” while, assuring of his administration’s support for the institution at all times.
