The All Progressives Congress APC House of Representatives Candidate for Etsako Federal Constituency in Edo State, Dekeri Sunday Anamero (alias Danco) has said that creating employment opportunities and meaningfully engaging youths is one sure way of curbing insecurity currently plaguing Nigeria.

In an interview with Daily Newscraft in Auchi Edo State, the Business Man and Politician said, ” The youths constitute the largest percentage of our population. They are also the most vibrant or the most active. So not taking conscious steps to create employment for them or meaningfully engaging them is a recipe for trouble”.

He expressed displeasure over the continuous closure of Universities,”It’s over five months now since University Undergraduates have been loitering the streets due to ASUU (Academic Staff Union of Universities) strike. Many of them have become disillusioned. Many of those who have even graduated are roaming the streets jobless. it’s very easy for them to plot sinister motives”.

Danco as he is fondly called disclosed that he will deal with unemployment frontally when he gets to the green Chambers,

” I have a verifiable track record of employment creation as the Founder and Managing Director of Danco Petroleum. Going to the National Assembly will enable me to create more jobs and preach to Colleagues the gospel of youth empowerment. This Country must take seriously the issue of meaningfully engaging the Youths. Anyone who is gainfully employed will not want to go and do Yahoo Yahoo or engage in Kidnapping” he said
