    UNILAG Student Fatally Shot, Police Launch Investigation

    A heartbreaking scene unfolded as Adekunle, dressed in black attire, lay lifeless on the ground at the crime scene. Our correspondent obtained a photograph capturing the somber moment.

    Later, police officers arrived at the scene and promptly evacuated Adekunle’s body, depositing it at the Mainland Hospital morgue. The state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed that the command had initiated an investigation to apprehend the individuals responsible for the attack.

    “The deceased was a UNILAG student. The suspects are being pursued for potential arrest, and the command has made contact with the victim’s family. The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Panti for a thorough investigation,” SP Benjamin Hundeyin stated.

    When approached for comment, the spokesperson for UNILAG, Adejoke Alaga-Ibrahim, declined to provide an immediate response.

    “I cannot provide reactions over the phone. I kindly request that you make a formal inquiry by sending an email to [email protected] or visit the university in person to speak with the Dean of Students Affairs,” Adejoke Alaga-Ibrahim expressed
