After leaving South Africa to co-chair the 11th session of the Nigeria-South Africa Bi-National Commission, or BNC, with President Cyril Ramaphosa, President Bola Tinubu has returned to Nigeria.
President Tinubu landed at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport around 9:10 p.m.
Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Femi Gbajabiamila, the President’s Chief of Staff, and Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Advisor, welcomed him.
Peter Opara, the Commissioner of Police for the Federal Capital Territory, and Abdullahi Ganduje, the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), were among the others.
The BNC’s eleventh session included discussions in eight working groups, each of which concentrated on a particular topic of shared interest.
These covered trade and investments, manufacturing, the social sector, mining and energy, banking and finance, consular and migration, defense and security, and political discussions.
Officials from both nations signed a number of agreements and memorandums of understanding at the high-level meeting.
In order to deepen the friendship and collaboration between the two countries, the Nigeria-South Africa Bi-National Commission was founded in 1999.
