A suspected fraudster, Ezekiel Olukoyi, aged 39, was brought before a Grade ‘A’ Customary Court in Ibadan for allegedly stealing an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) card.

Olukoyi, whose address was not disclosed, pleaded not guilty to the one-count theft charge. The prosecutor, Mr. Philip Amusan, stated that the incident occurred on June 6 at Access Bank, Agbeni branch, Ibadan. It was alleged that Olukoyi stole the ATM card of Fatimo Ojo and withdrew N40,000 from her account.

Amusan added that the defendant’s actions contravened Section 390(9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000, and are punishable under the same section.

In response, the court president, Mrs. Sukurat Yusuf, granted Olukoyi bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum. The case was adjourned until August 21 for further hearing.
