According to Festus Osifo, the President of the Trade Union Congress (TUC), state governors have shown no change in their extravagant lifestyles despite the removal of fuel subsidy by the administration of President Bola Tinubu.

Osifo made these remarks during an interview on Channels TV’s Politics Today. He criticized the Tinubu administration for failing to provide any assistance to the poor prior to implementing the subsidy removal.

Osifo questioned the government’s lack of initiatives to support Nigerian manufacturers, citing one of the demands submitted by the TUC. He further criticized the governors for their unabated lavishness, pointing out the never-ending convoys that accompany them.

He also raised concerns about the government’s management of funds, highlighting the fact that they had borrowed money but failed to demonstrate its effective utilization.
