The setting is set for Nigeria’s quarterfinal matchup with Senegal in the 2025 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

On Monday afternoon, the game will be played at the Suez Canal Stadium in Ismailia.

Senegal and Nigeria have already faced each other in the competition.

The Flying Eagles won the group stage against Senegal 3-1 in 2015.

Later, they won the competition by defeating them 1-0 in the final.

Senegal defeated Nigeria 1-0 in their first game in 2023.

Nigeria placed second in Group B, behind leaders Morocco, at the current U-20 AFCON competition in Egypt.

Senegal, however, also placed second in Group C, behind Ghana, the leaders.

The victor between Senegal and Nigeria advances to the semi-finals, which will be held on Thursday, and will automatically qualify for the World Cup.

The competition has only been won once, and Senegal is the reigning champion.

In contrast, Nigeria has previously won it seven times.

Nigeria vs. Senegal kicks off at 1:00 PM.
