    Rev Dr Yakubu Pam Honored as Peace Ambassador by Citizen FM for Promoting Unity and Harmony in Nigeria

    Rev Dr Yakubu Pam, the Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), was recently honored with the prestigious Peace Ambassador award by Citizen FM, Abuja. Mr Salmon Salami, the Chief Operating Officer of Citizen FM, presented the formal letter of the award to Rev Pam in his office on September 29, 2023.

    Expressing his gratitude, Rev Pam mentioned that he was deeply delighted to receive this recognition from Citizen FM. He emphasized that his dedication to promoting peace was not for personal recognition but for the betterment of the country. He also stressed the importance of fostering peaceful coexistence and good governance at the grassroots level.

    Rev Dr Yakubu Pam emphasized the importance of peace and harmony in the country, especially in the face of various challenges and conflicts. He reiterated his commitment to working tirelessly to promote peacebuilding and reconciliation among all Nigerians, regardless of their religious or ethnic differences.

    Rev Pam commended Citizen FM for their unique contribution to promoting peace and stated that their efforts would undoubtedly benefit the nation. He expressed confidence that the FM station would reap the rewards of their endeavors in due course.

    Furthermore, the Executive Secretary expressed his gratitude to the management of Citizen FM for acknowledging his efforts and recognizing the significant role he plays in advocating for peace. He urged other media organizations to prioritize the promotion of peace and harmony in their coverage, as this would contribute to national development and peaceful coexistence.

    In his remarks, Mr Salmon Salami, the Chief Operating Officer of Citizen FM, praised Rev Dr Yakubu Pam for his tireless efforts in promoting peace and unity in Nigeria. He highlighted the impact of the Executive Secretary’s initiatives and programs in fostering interfaith dialogue, promoting understanding, and preventing conflicts.

    Mr Salami stated that the decision to honor Rev Dr Yakubu Pam as a distinguished Peace Ambassador was based on his remarkable achievements and contributions to peacebuilding. He commended the Executive Secretary for being an exemplary leader and urged him to continue his good work.

    The Peace Ambassador award presentation is scheduled to take place at a ceremony organized by Citizen FM, where prominent individuals, government officials, religious leaders, and members of the public will gather to celebrate the achievements of Rev Dr Yakubu Pam and other distinguished peace advocates.

    The award serves as a motivation for the Executive Secretary to redouble his efforts in promoting peace and harmony in the country.
