The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi State, Hon. Muhammed Sanni Gambo, has called on Nigerians to uphold religious tolerance, remain vigilant, and foster peaceful coexistence as Muslims and Christians embark on the holy seasons of Ramadan and Lent.

In a statement issued in Lokoja in the early hours of Wednesday,Gambo described the periods as “sacred times for fasting, prayer, reflection, and spiritual rejuvenation, emphasizing the importance of compassion, charity, humility, sacrifice, and self-discipline.”

“Faithfuls of both religions should pray for peace, stability, and development in Kogi State and Nigeria,”

He reaffirmed the PDP’s commitment to religious tolerance and peaceful coexistence.

He prayed that Almighty Allah and God accept the fasts, prayers, and acts of devotion, while urging citizens to remain law-abiding and committed to the state’s progress.

Hon. Gambo also enjoined residents, particularly PDP members, to remain peaceful, extend compassion to the needy, and embody the values of love, kindness, and mutual respect that define the sacred seasons.
