In a show of appreciation for his exceptional dedication and hard work, the Chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC), Dr. Solomon Arase CFR, recently decorated his Personal Assistant, Ukom Abam, with the rank of Superintendent of Police. The promotion came as a result of Abam’s unwavering commitment to his duties and his invaluable contribution to advancing the Commission’s mission.
Dr. Arase commended Abam for his outstanding qualities and expressed his satisfaction with the assistant’s commitment to delivering on the Commission’s mandate. Emphasizing the importance of their shared vision, the Chairman urged Abam to remain steadfast in his dedication to national duty, assuring him that his efforts would not go unnoticed.
During the decoration ceremony, Dr. Arase took the opportunity to announce the Commission’s pledge to uphold a merit-based promotion system within the Nigeria Police Force, emphasizing the importance of defining promotions based on seniority and merit. He encouraged Abam to stay focused and continue contributing his part to national security.
In addition to his commendation of Abam’s achievements, Dr. Arase extended his prayers for divine blessings as Christians observe the Lenten season and Muslims observe the Ramadan fast. He called on all Nigerians to unite in prayer for a new Nigeria, emphasizing the collective responsibility of citizens to support the government in fulfilling its mandate.
