A former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Rotimi Makinde, has urged Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, to begin preparing his handover notes ahead of the 2026 governorship election.
In a statement, Makinde said residents of Osun State were yearning for new leadership, improved security, accountability, and focused governance.
He accused the PDP-led administration of underperformance and insisted that the APC was determined to reclaim the state.
Makinde described Bola Oyebamiji as the right candidate to lead the state, praising his experience, capacity, and commitment to development.
“The office of governor is not for clowns but for cerebral men with finesse, preparedness, decency and maturity,” he said.
He declared that the APC was united and confident of a landslide victory, urging party members to remain disciplined and loyal.
Makinde also commended party leaders for ensuring a successful primary that produced Oyebamiji as the consensus candidate.
