Pope Francis has encouraged Christians to pray with their hearts rather than their mouths.
The public audience was instructed by the Catholic leader to refrain from praying like parrots.
Instead, Pope Francis called on the Holy Spirit to help people guide their conversations with God and urged them to pray from the bottom of their hearts.
Please refrain from praying like parrots! Avoid saying “blah, blah, blah.” Say “Lord,” but do it without feeling; “Pardon me, Lord.” “Lord, I love you.”
Pray, “Papa, you are my father,” instead of “our father.” Don’t use your mouth to pray; use your heart instead. “Avoid behaving like parrots,” the Supreme Pontiff advised.
