    Police welfare:Kogi command presents N39.04 million cheque to 25 families of deceased officers

    The Commissioner of Police Kogi State Police Command, CP Bethrand C. Onuoha has presented cheques worth N39,042,593.07k to the 25 families of deceased officers on behalf of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun.

    This was contained in a statement issued by the command spokesman SP William Aya on Thursday.

    He said that while the CP was presenting the cheques in Wednesday,he disclosed that, “the gestures was part of the Group Life Assurance and Group Personal Accident Insurance Schemes aimed at improving the welfare of the families of deceased Police Officers and to also support Police Officers who became accident victims while carrying out their duty.

    The CP said that the gesture was also to encourage other Officers in active service to be diligent.

    “The Nigeria Police Force recognizes the sacrifices made by the deceased Officers as well as those who are accident victims to secure the Nation.” The CP said.

    He urged the beneficiaries not to misuse the money but make judicious use of it for the betterment of their families.

    The beneficiaries appreciates the IGP for the gestures and promised to make use of the money for the benefits of their families.
