    PDP formerly unveils Dino Melaye as it’s Kogi gubernatorial candidate

    The Kogi state chapter of the People’s Democratic party, PDP has formerly unveiled Senator Dino Melaye as it flagbearer in the November 11 governorship Election in the state.

    The ceremony held Wednesday in Lokoja, the Kogi state capital 2as attended by the party leaders across the three Senatorial Districts of the state

    Speaking shortly he was presented to party faithfuls,Dino Melaye expressed his appreciation to every member of the party for the confidence reposed in him and promised not to disappoint them.

    He said that Kogi has no business being poor as she is sitting on hold mine enough to make the citizens of the state immensely rich.

    “Kogi state has over 42 mineral resources untapped, there is nothing wrong if we have 5 Obajanas in the state,there is no reason why Ajaokuta should not be working,there is no reason why we should depend on monthly Federal allocation, all these will be brought to a halt when I become the governor through you in November” he said.

    According to him,”we have enormous resources and loose funds around the world waiting to be accessed, what you only need is enabling environment and ideas to access those funds, I will use my connection around the world to attract investment to the state.

    Dino,a two times senator who represented Kogi West was elected on the 15th April delegates Election having polled 313 votes to defeat his closest rival ,Jabiru Usman who polled 127 votes.

    Also speaking during the ceremony,Ex governor Ibrahim Idris called on party faithfuls to rally behind Melaye who he described as a formidable personality who will bring the state out of the woods of the past 7 years.

    “To do this there is the need to see ourselves on one big family and work together to install Dino Melaye in November.
