Osimhen set to break Galatasaray’s European record

    Published on

Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, will be looking to break a club record when Galatasaray take on Bodo/Glimt in a Champions League game on Wednesday.

Osimhen will aim to become the first player to score in seven consecutive European games for the Turkish club.

He currently shares the record with Burak Yilmaz, who netted in six straight European matches in 2012.

Osimhen equalled Yilmaz’s record when he scored the winner in the 1–0 victory over Liverpool last month.

Galatasaray will host Bodo/Glimt in a matchday three encounter, with Osimhen expected to lead the attack.

The 26-year-old came on as a substitute in their 2–1 win over Istanbul Basaksehir last weekend.

He has scored three goals in seven appearances across all competitions for the Turkish Super Lig champions this season.
