Victor Osimhen has been included in Galatasaray’s travelling squad following an injury sustained during the recent international break, providing a timely boost for the Turkish Süper Lig champions ahead of their clash with Alanyaspor on Friday.
The 26-year-old striker suffered a knock while on international duty with Super Eagles of Nigeria earlier this month.
His absence forced him to miss the club’s last three fixtures, including a pivotal UEFA Champions League encounter against Eintracht Frankfurt.
Before his injury, Osimhen had been in impressive form, scoring in consecutive Super Lig matches against Kayserispor and Rizespor, highlighting his importance to Galatasaray’s attacking setup.
Osimhen’s return comes at a crucial juncture for Galatasaray, who are aiming to consolidate their position among the league’s top contenders.
Beyond club duties, Osimhen’s fitness will also be a key concern for Nigeria’s national team.
Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle will welcome the striker’s return as he prepares his squad for must-win 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Benin Republic and Lesotho in October.
With Osimhen back in the fold, both Galatasaray and the Super Eagles stand to benefit from the return of one of their most potent offensive weapons.
