Olukoyede Applauds CISON on Values of Data

    Published on

The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Mr. Ola Olukoyede, on Friday,  October 17, 2025,  underscored the relevance and values of data in individual and corporate engagements, stressing that “data is actually about life”.

He made this disclosure in Abuja when the President of the Chartered Institute of Statisticians of Nigeria, CISON, Mr. Goddy Ebuh paid him a Courtesy Visit at the corporate headquarters of the EFCC.

“I believe not only in the collection of figures, data is actually about life. Your health status is confirmed through data. You want to sleep, you calculate how many hours you need to sleep and sometimes you time yourself, when to wake up. You schedule yourself for the day on a timely basis. That’s how important data is to national and human development. I want to extend our hand of support to all what you are doing,” he said.

Earlier,  Ebuh emphasized the need for collaboration with the EFCC, pointing out that the Commission would fare better as a corporate member of CISON.  “We need to partner together and synergize. The EFCC needs to be a corporate member of the Institute. We have student members. We have other categories of members. We even organize competitions for undergraduates. We can leverage on EFCC in organizing our competitions. We need to support and work with the EFCC.”
