The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has slammed Kano Pillars with a fine of N9.5m following last weekend’s fans attack on visiting Shooting Stars Fc of Ibadan

Shooting Stars players and match officials were attacked by Kano Pillars fans following Sunday’s NPFL matchday eight encounter at the Sani Abacha Stadium, that ended in a 1-1 draw.

The home fans vented their anger on the visiting players and match officials to protest some alleged questionable decisions in the game.

The NPFL fined the Sai Masu Gida N9.5 million for failing to provide adequate security at the stadium.

Kano Pillars were also docked three points and three goals from their accrued points and goals.
