The Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL) has reiterated its commitment to attaining over 2 million barreld per day (bpd) of crude oil production for the federal government.

The Chairman of TSSNL, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen on Saturday in Warri.

    Tompolo who is also the
Ibe-Ebidouwei of Ijaw Nation spoke through his Special Adviser Media and Public Communication, Mr Paul Bebenimibo.

He was reacting to the latest declaration by the Board and Management of the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) that crude oil production has hit 1.8 million bpd, gas’ 7. 4 billion scfd.

Recalls that Mr Mele Kyari, the Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) of the NNPCL had in a press conference on Thursday disclosed that the milestone was achieved in compliance with the mandate of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Tompolo expressed joy for being part of the success story.

It would be recall that Tompolo had on March 2, 2024 pledged his commitment to ensuring the nation’s daily crude oil production output continues to be on increase and by implications boost the nation’s revenue.

The Ibe-Ebidouwei of Ijaw Nation made the pledge during the presentation of Meritorious Award on Internal Security on him by the National Leadership of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) at Oporoza, the administrative headquarters of Gbaramatu Kingdom in Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta.

“The only place I have to call my country is Nigeria, so I will do everything within my power to see that crude oil production increases,” he said.

Tompolo also emphasised at the ceremony that TSSNL, a private pipeline security outfit was committed to the realisation of 2 million bpd by December as directed by President Tinubu.

“This milestone, as you know, was achieved in collaboration with NNPCL, security forces and of course, Tantita which has been at the forefront of oil pipelines protection in the Niger Delta.

“We are determined to take it to 2mbpd before the year ends as directed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“All the needed machinery has been put in place to ensure that the target is achieved.

“We will not spare any effort to ensure that the economy of Nigeria is galvanised.

“This will lead to a boost in government’s revenue, and by implications make more funds available for the President and his team to run the country effectively,” he said.

Tompolo assured that he would not rest on his oars until he achieved or even surpass the production target.

According to him, new technologies are being deployed to monitor the facilities with a view to ensuring that there is no disruption in crude oil production as well as eliminating crude oil theft in the country.

“By the grace of God, certainly by the end of 2024, we will surpass the 1.8 million bpd. We are working towards attaining and even exceeding 2 million bpd,” Tompolo promised.

It is on note that TSSNL had been in the forefront in the war against crude oil theft in the Nigeria’s coastal region

The private security outfit has lately led a relentless war against crude oil theft and pipelines’ vandalism, as well as sanitizing the nation’s coastal space of illegalities and confiscating their equipment.

It is also on record that that most of the oil thieves had abandoned the illicit business following the onslaught and ceaseless heat by the operatives of TSSNL.

These collaborative efforts of the Tantita with other state actors significantly contributed to the latest rise in the quantum of production of crude and gas resources.

Meanwhile, encomium from state actors had been pouring in for the NNPCL and the TSSNL as the nation’s crude oil production hit 1.8 millions bpd.

The industry players have lauded NNPCL and the private security agencies hired to safeguard the nation’s economic assets.

They specifically applauded the resilient and doggedness of the TSSNL in the onslaught against crude oil theft in the Niger Delta region.

Kyari during his presentation, congratulated the Production War Room Team that anchored the production recovery process.

According to him, the team has done a great job in driving this project of not just production recovery but also escalating production to expected levels.

On his part, Mr Lawal Musa,
the Chief Production War Room Coordinator and Senior Business Adviser to the GCEO, while giving details of the efforts of the Production War Room, attributed the fear to the collaborative efforts.

According to him, the Production War Room is in collaboration with the Joint Venture and Production Sharing Contract partners, the Office of the National Security Adviser, as well as government and private security agencies.
