The Nationwide League One (NLO) has announced that ten of its staff members will participate in a three-day Executive Course in Sports Law, organized by the Lagos-based School of Corporate and Business Law (LPP).

The online training, which runs from Wednesday, November 5, 2025, is designed to deepen participants’ understanding of the legal frameworks governing modern sports management.

Topics include contract drafting, sponsorships, governance, dispute resolution, and athlete rights — equipping participants to better navigate the legal complexities of the global sports industry.

NLO Chief Operating Officer, Olushola Ogunnowo, said the initiative aligns with the organization’s commitment to staff capacity building.

“Continuous education has become an annual practice for our staff. It reinforces our human resource strategy by keeping our team informed on new regulations and best practices,” Ogunnowo noted.

He emphasized that the course would enhance professionalism, safety, and compliance, while reducing errors and operational risks.

“Sports is now a multi-billion-dollar business. Every club, academy, and athlete needs legal guidance. This certification positions our staff to tap into the growing opportunities in sports law and management,” he added.

Upon completion, participants will earn the designation of Certified Sports Law Professionals, further boosting their professional credibility and competence.
