The North-Central region is forecast to have morning rain and thunderstorms in the FCT, Niger, and Nasarawa, extending to Kogi, Kwara, and Plateau in the afternoon and evening.

In the South, Tuesday morning rain is anticipated in Ondo, Ogun, Edo, Ebonyi, Abia, Cross River, Rivers, and Akwa Ibom. Rainfall is expected to continue in the afternoon across much of the southern region, including Oyo, Ekiti, Osun, Lagos, Edo, Anambra, Abia, Enugu, Imo, Ebonyi, Cross River, Rivers, Delta, and Bayelsa.

By Wednesday, the northern states of Zamfara, Adamawa, Kaduna, Sokoto, Kebbi, and Taraba are expected to see morning rain, with afternoon thunderstorms likely in Taraba, Kaduna, Katsina, Bauchi, Zamfara, Sokoto, and Adamawa.

In the North-Central zone, thunderstorms with rain are predicted for the FCT, Nasarawa, Niger, and Benue in the morning, with further rainfall expected in Nasarawa, Plateau, FCT, Kwara, Kogi, and Niger by later in the day.

The southern region is forecast to experience morning rain across Ogun, Ondo, Oyo, Edo, Enugu, Ebonyi, Cross River, Rivers, and Akwa Ibom, followed by widespread rainfall across the entire region in the afternoon and evening.

NiMet cautioned that strong winds may accompany thunderstorms, urging the public to secure loose items and avoid driving in heavy rain. The agency also advised airline operators to consult airport-specific weather updates from NiMet to ensure safe flight operations.
