According to Mohammed Idris, Minister of Information and National Orientation, the initiatives of President Bola Tinubu’s administration are starting to pay off.
He made this statement at the 4th edition of the 2025 ministerial briefing, which included Professor Suwaiba Ahmed, the Minister of State for Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, the Minister of Education, and Festus Keyamo, SAN, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development.
The ministers would provide Nigerians with an update on the major accomplishments and developments made during their tenure.
Idris praised the media for their steadfast commitment to covering the Ministerial Briefing Session, saying that their efforts to inform Nigerians on the administration’s accomplishments, policies, and programs are genuinely admirable.
He pointed out that as Tinubu carries out audacious and revolutionary changes to create the framework for a new Nigeria, the nation finds itself at a pivotal point.
He asserts that history has demonstrated that significant reforms are never simple and always require perseverance, sacrifice, and a dedication to long-term advancement.
“A more stable and prosperous future is worth the initial pains that frequently accompany these changes,” he stated.
He thanked Nigerians for their endurance, patience, and steadfast faith in the president’s vision.
“These reforms are not only well-meaning; they are crucial to our country’s progress and prosperity. As the benefits of these reforms start to materialize, let me state that we have passed the Rubicon and that the pains are progressively subsiding.
As a clear sign that the changes are working, we are already seeing a significant drop in food costs, currency rate stability, and a slow drop in the price of petroleum items.
“As we proceed on this road, I am urging our religious leaders to offer prayers for our country’s peace, security, and advancement during this holy time of Ramadan and Lent.
“I want to encourage our Muslim and Christian leaders to keep praying for Nigeria’s prosperity, especially during this time of fasting and introspection. We will come out stronger, more resilient, and in a position for long-term success if we have faith, work together, and remain united,” the minister continued.
