In a meticulously planned operation on April 13, the air component of Operation Hadarin Kai conducted precise airstrikes on ISWAP terrorist hideouts within Kolleram village along Lake Chad, resulting in a significant blow to the insurgent group.

Troops launched a decisive offensive on the stronghold of Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists in the Timbuktu triangle of the Lake Chad Region, as part of a week-long clearance operation led by Sector 2 Special Forces Brigade of the Nigerian Army, in collaboration with HYBRID forces and Civilian JTF. Supported by aerial cover and reconnaissance from the Nigerian Air Force, the operation successfully eradicated numerous terrorists in the area.

A series of airstrikes carried out by the NAF Component in the Kafa and Mafi general area on April 15 led to the destruction of two vehicles and the elimination of all terrorist occupants.

Additionally, on April 16, 2024, several terrorists were neutralized as they encountered the superior firepower of the troops, resulting in the recovery of a hilux truck and a 105 Pack Howitzer.

The coordinated efforts between ground and air forces have instilled confidence and optimism among citizens in the affected area, signaling a significant setback for the terrorist organization.
