Ahead of the Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL) Super Finals scheduled for November 6–9 in Abuja, the league’s leadership, led by National Coordinator Mahmud Hadejia, paid a courtesy visit to Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau on Tuesday.

The meeting reinforced collaboration to strengthen the structure of beach soccer in Nigeria and restore the country’s former dominance on the continental and global stage.

Hadejia commended the NFF for reviving the Super Sand Eagles after years of inactivity, describing the comeback as “a promise kept and a dream rekindled.”

He noted that the NFF’s renewed interest had fueled the sport’s revival across multiple states and built a growing beach soccer culture nationwide.

In response, NFF President Gusau praised the persistence of the beach soccer community, joking that their pressure had made revival inevitable.

“But thank God — Africa now knows Nigeria is back, alive, and capable of competing again,” he said.

He reaffirmed the NFF’s commitment to supporting the 2025 Super Finals and called on corporate bodies and fans to rally behind the sport.

“Beach soccer is thrilling, fast-paced, and deserves our full backing,” he said. “We want Nigeria to return to the top — from the Africa Beach Soccer Cup of Nations to the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.”

The 2025 NBSL Super Finals will showcase Nigeria’s best teams, marking a new chapter in the nation’s beach soccer revival and reaffirming the sport’s growing appeal.
