Nasarawa United was fined N6 million by the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) for not providing sufficient protection during their match against Plateau United on matchday 33.

The Solid Miners were also exiled by the NPFL to Pantami Stadium in Gombe, where they would play their last home games of the season.

A home fan attacked Vincent Temitope, a forward for Plateau United, during the 3-2 victory for the home team.

Nasarawa United has been instructed to identify the person responsible for Temitope’s physical harm and provide proof of the person’s legal prosecution.

Additionally, they have been instructed to put in place efficient crowd control and matchday security measures and submit them to the NPFL board before playing again at Lafia City Stadium in the future.

The Lafia club can appeal the NPFL penalty within 48 hours of the notice date.
