As of Tuesday, 1st August 2023, at the Lagos Parallel Market (Black Market), the exchange rate for a dollar to Naira stands at N860 for buying and N875 for selling, according to sources at the Bureau De Change (BDC).
It’s essential to note that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) does not recognize the parallel market (black market) and directs individuals interested in Forex transactions to approach their respective banks.

Saudi Airline Opens New Office in Kano and Resumes Full Aircraft Services
Saudi Airline celebrated the grand opening of its newly established office in Kano, marking the launch of a new aircraft for full-service operation.
During the opening ceremony, Consul General to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Kano, Kahlil Ahmed Admawi, spoke to journalists, highlighting that Saudi Airline has been present in Kano since 1982. The recent development aims to improve access to business, tourism, and religious opportunities for Nigerians and Africans in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Admawi emphasized that Saudi Airlines has been providing comprehensive guidance to individuals from the state who wish to visit Saudi Arabia for business, religious, and tourism purposes.
He stated, “Today, we are pleased with the opening of the new Saudi Airline and the new aircraft. It is the right place to guide those wishing to visit the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and enjoy comfortable times and tourism, along with recreational, cultural, and health activities.”
This move is expected to facilitate greater connectivity and travel options between Nigeria and Saudi Arabia, further enhancing bilateral ties and strengthening both business and leisure travel opportunities.
