The Group Managing Director, Kam Holding Limited, Dr. Kamoru Ibitoye Yusuf, has paid glowing tributes to the late former Governor of Kwara State, Chief Cornelius Olatunji Adebayo, describing him as a towering figure in both academia and politics.

He noted that the earthly sojourn of the erstwhile Kwara Governor symbolised integrity, selfless service, and unwavering commitment to the betterment of the State he once presided over and the nation at large.

Yusuf, in a condolence message he personally issued and made available to Journalists in Ilorin, on Saturday, recalled that the late Chief Adebayo displayed rare brilliance, courage, and patriotism in various public offices where he served.

Describing his transition as a colossal loss, the Kam Holding Chief noted that the former Governor’s contributions to democratic development would remain indelible, having joined forces with democratic proponents to end military dictatorship in the country.

He commiserated with Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the bereaved family, the people of Isin Local Government Area, and his associates, over the demise of Chief Adebayo and prayed that his legacy continues to inspire successive generations.

“It is with deep sorrow and a profound sense of loss that I, Dr. Kamorudeen Ibitoye Yusuf, MON, the Group Managing Director (GMD) of KAM Holding Limited, extend my heartfelt condolences to the family of the late Elder Statesman and former Governor of Kwara State, His Excellency Cornelius Olatunji Adebayo, who passed on recently.

“Senator Adebayo was a towering figure in the political and intellectual landscape of our nation. His life was marked by uncommon integrity, selfless service, and unyielding commitment to the betterment of Kwara State and Nigeria as a whole.

“From his days as a Commissioner in the old Kwara State, to his stint in office as Governor, Senator, and later Minister of Communications, he displayed rare brilliance, courage, and patriotism.

“His departure is not only a monumental loss to his immediate family and the good people of Isin Local Government Area, but also a colossal loss to Kwara State and Nigeria at large. He was a mentor to many, wisdom reservoir, and a man of peace whose contributions to democratic development would remain indelible.

“On behalf of my family, the management and staff of KAM Holdings Limited, I pray that Almighty God grants his gentle soul eternal bliss and give his family, the people of Isin LGA, and indeed the entire Kwara State, the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss”, the Kam Holding chief added.
