    Kremlin –Signals delaying Putin-Trump meeting

    Published on

The absence of “signals” is causing the US President Donald Trump and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to postpone their meeting.

Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesperson, revealed this on Monday.

Both Trump and Putin have stated that they are open to meeting, but neither has specified when the meeting will take place.

Speaking to reporters, Peskov stated: “We haven’t heard from the Americans yet. The preparedness is still there. According to what we’ve heard, the American side is still prepared.

Relations between the two nuclear powers have reached their lowest points since the Cold War as a result of the nearly three-year crisis in Ukraine.

On Thursday, Trump, who assumed office on January 20, told reporters he was open to meeting with Putin “immediately” to reach a deal to end the fighting.

Putin called Trump a “smart” and “pragmatic” man on Friday, pointing out that if he had been president, the battle might not have begun in 2022.
