The Kogi Progressive Stakeholders Forum (KPSF) has rejected being referred to as a faction of All Progressive Congress, but part of one indivisible entity under the leadership of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.
This was contained in a statement issued on Saturday by Sani Philips, Publicity Secretary, KPSF and made available to newsmen in lokoja.
“Our attention has been drawn to some misleading and negative narratives deliberately orchestrated by some unscrupulous elements in the social media with an attempt to blackmail the forum, stoke the flames of division amongst members of the APC in Kogi State and indeed misinform members and the general public on the very intentions of the recent stakeholders meeting which overwhelmingly endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR for a second term in office in lokoja on the 4th of February, 2026.”
He said that the aim of the purveyors of such reference was to dow seeds of disunity among APC family in the state.
“The forum is not a faction and does not represent any real or imaginary faction of the APC in Kogi State. The forum is not against or in contention with the leadership structure of the APC in Kogi State. The APC in Kogi State is one indivisible entity under the leadership of H.E Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo, Governor of Kogi State”.
The forum said that”the cardinal objective of the the forum’s meeting was to singularly endorse the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR for a second term in office due to his outstanding performances and in doing so, the forum emphasized the need for unity, cohesion, inclusion, equity and fairness in the administration of the party towards a successful re-election campaign for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu come 2027.”
The publicly secretary said that the forums thematic focus is anchored solely and squarely on the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR which it considers a strategic imperative and competitive advantage towards winning all other elections in the state.
“The forum is not an extension of any political tendency or personal ambition, but a collective platform comprising party elders, leaders and grassroots stakeholders committed to the unity and progress of the APC in Kogi State.
“The Kogi Progressive Stakeholders Forum is a forum consisting of eminent personalities from across the 21 LGA’s of Kogi state who are active and faithful members of the APC to ensure unity, cohesion and to create a united front towards winning all elections in the state.
“The forum therefore by this press statement advises mischief makers whose aim and objective is to stoke the flames of division within the party, to desist forthwith from misrepresenting the forum and its activities”.
