The Kogi State PDP Chairman, Hon. Muhammed Sanni Gambo, has expressed the party’s full support for Sen. Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, saying “You’re our pride, we stand with you”.

This comes after Sen. Natasha’s passionate plea for funding to revive the Ajaokuta Steel Company at a budget defence session, which led to a heated exchange with the Senate Committee Chairman, Patrick Ndubueze.

In a statement issued on Friday in Lokoja, Gambo lauded Sen. Natasha’s representation, saying “it reflects the wishes of Kogi people”

He urged her to remain focused and not be distracted by attempts to undermine her efforts.

“The Senator’s passion for Ajaokuta Steel is not new; it’s a promise she made during her campaign,” Gambo said.

The PDP Chairman described Sen. Natasha as “a pride of the 10th Senate” and expressed confidence in her ability to deliver results.

He emphasized the importance of a viable steel industry for Nigeria’s socio-economic development and technological transformation.
