The Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Police Command, CP Naziru Bello Kankarofi, has officially received newly posted Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) into the Command.
This was contained in a statement issued in the early hours of Thursday in Lokoja by the command’s spokesman, CSP William Aya
“The reception afforded the CP the opportunity to personally welcome the officers and address them on the expectations of their new assignments.” He noted.
In his address, CP Kankarofi emphasised that the new ASPs represent the new hope for the reformation and advancement of the Nigeria Police Force.
He urged them to approach their duties with utmost seriousness, dedication, and commitment to service, while upholding the core principles of policing, including integrity, discipline, and accountability.
The CP further highlighted the challenges inherent in maintaining public safety, enforcing the law, and building community trust.
He charged the officers to rise to these challenges and demonstrate professionalism and excellence in all their engagements.
The newly posted ASPs expressed gratitude to the CP and pledged to uphold the high standards and ethics expected of officers of the Nigeria Police Force.
The reception reflects the Kogi State Police Command’s commitment to supporting, guiding, and mentoring newly posted personnel to execute their duties effectively in the interest of public safety and the security of the state.
