As the November 11 governorship election draws nearer,the standard flagbearer of the People’s Democratic party,PDP Senator Dino Melaye has vowed to put an end to percentage salary payments to civil servants in the state.
Senator Dino Melaye was speaking on Saturday while being introduced to party supporters in Ayingba by ex governor, Ibrahim Idris.
The former senator who represented Kogi West told party supporters that percentage salary payments under any circumstance was an act of wickedness and would be jettisoned without delay while sacked civil servants cases would be reviewed within 100 days in office.
“Trust me , within one hundred days in office,I will call for the files of the victims of wicked and obnoxious screening exercise conducted by present governor with a view to giving Justice to those un justly sacked”
Melaye also assured those whose promotions have been cashbacked would be rectified within 100 days in office.
Earlier,the ex-governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris told party faithfuls to return to the party and vote Dino Melaye whose anteceedent as a performer cannot be questioned.
“You have married two wives and you know which one is better,you now know what the ruling party stands for,you know they stand for hunger and starvation,you are not a good leader when the people are hungry,a true and genuine leader will ensure that there is food on the table and people are secured to enjoy the food”
The former governor described Dino as an epitome of a true leader that will ensure that there is security and surplus food for the people and should be given a chance to prove his worth.
