Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, officially swore in 21 local government administrators on Tuesday, urging them to maintain close ties with their grassroots communities. The governor’s action followed the dissolution of elected chairmen and secretaries of the state’s 21 local governments last month, citing the expiration of their tenure on February 5.

Addressing the newly appointed administrators at the Presidential Lodge in Birnin Kebbi, Governor Idris emphasized the importance of staying connected to local communities. He called for dedication and hard work, urging the administrators to justify the trust placed in them.

Governor Idris highlighted the diverse composition of the administrators, encompassing both experienced and young politicians. He encouraged the seasoned politicians to mentor the younger generation, recognizing them as the future leaders.

In response, Dahiru Nayaya-Ambursa, the Sole Administrator of Birnin Kebbi, conveyed unwavering support for the governor’s administration. According to a statement by the governor’s spokesperson, Ahmed Idris, Nayaya-Ambursa assured that the new administrators were committed to bringing positive development to their respective local government areas and pledged not to let the governor down.
