The Nigeria Hunters and Forest Security Service (NHFSS) reported handling 19 complaints in July, according to Abdullahi Al-Ameen, the commander of the Kano command. In an interview on Wednesday, Al-Ameen highlighted the service’s ongoing efforts to address various crimes and illegal activities in the region’s forests.

Out of the 19 complaints received, 17 have been resolved, with two remaining under investigation. The issues reported included animal theft, farm produce theft, kidnapping, phone theft, thuggery, and rape.

Al-Ameen reassured the public of the NHFSS’s commitment to ensuring forest areas remain secure and free from criminal activities. He called on Kano residents to continue supporting the service and uphold the law.
