Kaigama Urges Faith in Action, Dedicates Landmark Parish House in Galadimawa

The Catholic Archbishop of Abuja, His Grace, Most Rev. Ignatius Kaigama, has called on Christians to translate their faith into tangible actions, emphasizing that true belief is demonstrated through deeds, not just words.
Archbishop Kaigama made this passionate appeal yesterday during his Second Pastoral Visit to St. Francis Galadimawa Pastoral Area, where he dedicated a newly constructed parish house and celebrated a vibrant faith community.

In his homily, Kaigama praised the congregation’s resilience and unity, urging them to actively live out their faith in their daily lives.

“Identify yourself as a Catholic,” he said, calling on parishioners to embrace their roles in fostering love, harmony, and spiritual growth within the Church.

The event was a historic milestone for the Galadimawa community, marked by the dedication of a three-story parish house featuring 12 self-contained apartments, a chapel, a parish office, and other amenities.

The project, initiated in April 2022, overcame significant financial and logistical hurdles through collective effort and divine providence.

Rev. Fr. Kenneth Agwu, Priest-in-Charge, hailed the project as a testament to the community’s unwavering faith and determination.

“Today, we celebrate God’s faithfulness. This milestone underscores our commitment to the Church’s growth,” he stated, pledging continued prayers for the Archbishop’s mission.

In addition to the parish house dedication, the occasion included the commemoration of Archbishop Kaigama’s fifth anniversary as the spiritual leader of Abuja Archdiocese.

Mrs. Chinyere Eze, speaking on behalf of the parishioners, lauded Archbishop Kaigama’s transformative leadership, describing him as a beacon of inspiration whose support has galvanized growth in the Archdiocese.

As the congregation reflected on Kaigama’s message and leadership, the atmosphere brimmed with renewed hope and purpose.

The Archbishop envisioned a brighter future for Galadimawa, urging continued perseverance to elevate the pastoral area to full parish status.

“Keep struggling,” he said, likening their efforts to the steady, diligent work of ants, building toward greatness one step at a time.
