Former President Goodluck Jonathan has described former Head of State, General Ibrahim Bahamasi Babangida as a committed leader who Nigerian youths are to tap from his wealth of experience.

Jonathan stated this while congratulating Babangida on his 84 years birthday at the IBB hilltop mansion in Minna, Niger State yesterday.

He pointed out that because of Babangida’s pedigree during his leadership his home has become like Mecca as people visit him regularly, to receive advice and blessings to enhance their prosperity.

“Till today, IBB stands out very clearly as a committed leader who is not a sectional leader. He is someone who believes in unity. He takes Nigeria as his own – he is not a sectional leader,” Jonathan said.

According to Jonathan, Babangida has done well, and will continue to tap from his experience.

Also, a one-time campaign spokesperson of former vice President Abubakar Atiku, Shiwumi, stated that Babangida is a Nigerian who has the courage to give better ideas.

“We thank God for keeping him alive to date. We pray to God to keep him for longer years to gather his wealth of experience in this critical state like Nigeria,” he said.
