The Minister of Defence, Muhammed Badaru Abubakar, has expressed confidence that the abducted students from Kuriga in the Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State will soon be rescued. He provided this assurance while addressing troops of the 1 Division, who are on the frontline combating bandits in the North-West region and other parts of the country, during a visit to Kaduna on Thursday.
During his interaction with the troops, Minister Badaru also pledged that the perpetrators behind the killing of military officers and soldiers in the Okuama community of Delta State would be apprehended and brought to justice.
His visit to the 1 Division Nigerian Army in Kaduna aimed to boost the morale of the troops and encourage them to persist in their efforts. He assured them that victory was on the horizon and that soon, Nigerians would celebrate their triumphs.
Minister Badaru conveyed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s acknowledgment of the troops’ sacrifices and his satisfaction with their dedication to the cause.
In his address to the troops, Minister Badaru emphasized the government’s resolve, stating, “We have the power, will, strength, and determination, and our morale is high to end insecurity.” He commended the troops for their ongoing efforts to ensure the safe rescue of the abducted schoolchildren and reiterated the full support of the President.
Having been briefed on the progress of the rescue mission, Minister Badaru expressed his confidence in the troops’ capabilities and their likelihood of achieving success in their mission.
