Insecurity: Trump, Nicki Minaj ‘adding salt to Injury’ – Security expert Bulama Bukarti

    Published on

A security expert, Bulama Bukarti, has said that US President Donald Trump and American rapper Nicki Minaj are exacerbating the security situation in Nigeria.

Bukarti made the statement on Wednesday while responding to questions in an interview on Politics Today, a programme on Channels Television.

He was reacting to statements by the duo about the security situation in the country, in which both alleged that there is a coordinated Christian genocide.

“Donald Trump and Nicki Minaj are adding salt to injury. While Nigerians are dying, they are using the opportunity for political rhetoric and entertainment.

“It tells you how seriously these people take our lives that a musician who has never been to Nigeria will be invited to the United Nations to discuss insecurity in Nigeria.

“We have prominent security xperts, survivors, and families of the victims of this insecurity in Nigeria, but none of them was invited to the United Nations; instead, a musician who has no relationship with Nigeria whatsoever was invited to discuss Nigeria’s insecurity.

“When she got there, she gave a speech in which she claimed to love Christians in Nigeria, but she was laughing at the end of the speech less than two minutes after she had spoken,” Bukarti said.
