    Gunmen Attack Kogi Community, Leaving Many Feared Dead

    On Friday, a disturbing incident unfolded in Agojeju-Odo, a community located in the Omala Local Government Area of Kogi State, as armed gunmen launched a violent assault. Reports indicate that the assailants, armed with guns, invaded the community, unleashing chaos and terror.

    According to sources, the attackers opened fire on members of the community and set houses ablaze, plunging the area into a state of fear and distress. The motive behind the attack remains unclear at this time.

    Confirming the incident, the Kogi State Police Public Relations Officer, SP William Aya, acknowledged the attack in Agojeju-Odo. He disclosed that the state Commissioner of Police, Bethrand Onuoha, swiftly responded by deploying tactical teams and collaborating with other security agencies to address the situation.

    Aya assured the public that investigations are underway to ascertain the cause of the attack and to identify the perpetrators responsible for the heinous act.
