The conference, which addresses challenges faced by women in Nigeria, will be held in Lagos on September 10-11, 2024.

Themed “SOAR BEYOND BOUNDARIES…Enrich Communities,” the hybrid conference is expected to attract around 4,500 participants both in-person and online. Mrs. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, wife of the Lagos State Governor and COWLSO Chairperson, emphasized the event’s focus on empowering women to transcend barriers and realize their full potential.

Special Guests of Honour at the event include Governors Eno and Sule, who will attend both the opening and closing ceremonies. Governor Adeleke will also make a notable appearance at the Gala Night. An Awareness Walk titled “WOMEN RISING TOGETHER” is scheduled for September 3, 2024, in Badagry.

The conference will feature a series of insightful sessions led by experienced facilitators and will be live-streamed for wider public engagement. One of the key highlights will be the presentation of the Inspirational Woman of the Year award. The Gala Night will offer entertainment, raffle draws, and exciting prizes, continuing COWLSO’s tradition of celebrating and rewarding participants.
