Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf has lauded the effort of the Kano State Police Command for uswiftly arresting the suspected killers  of a housewife and her children in Dorayi Quarters.

The commendation was contained in a statement issued on Sunday by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa and made available.

Governor Yusuf described the prompt response of the police as a clear demonstration of professionalism, courage and commitment to safeguarding lives and property in Kano State.

He said the gruesome incident, which shocked residents and plunged the state into mourning, was deeply saddening, but noted that the speedy tracking and arrest of the suspects had helped restore public confidence in the security agencies.

The governor specifically commended the Commissioner of Police and officers involved in the operation for deploying intelligence-led strategies that led to the breakthrough, stressing that such diligence must be sustained to deter criminal activities.

Governor Yusuf reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting the police and other security agencies with necessary logistics and cooperation to ensure criminals have no hiding place in the state.

He also urged residents to continue assisting security agencies with timely and credible information, noting that community collaboration remains critical to maintaining peace and security.

The governor further directed that the suspects be thoroughly investigated and diligently prosecuted to ensure justice for the victims and serve as a deterrent to others.
